See you at the pole!

Wed Sep 21, 2005, 6:26 AM
As most of you know, tomorrow, September 21st, is the National "See You at the Pole" day and I know a lot of you will attend. For those of you who don't know what "See you at the pole" is - it's a day set aside for the nation for christian teens in their schools to pray around their flagpole with fellow Christian teens a half an hour before school starts. Now this takes a lot of guts, because a lot of people (your peers) are going to see the real you and who you really stand for. It's a challenge though, you guys. We need to stand up for Christ and PRAY - pray for our schools and the corruption in them, pray for our country, pray for our people.

I tell you what: I'M GOING TO BE THERE. I went to Sandcreek High School last year and had an amazing time hand in hand with fellow believers at 6 am. This year I'm going to support several of my small group friends by going out to Falcon High School - and I'm really looking forward to it. God can work in a lot of ways there, and even though I've graduated High School - I'm ready to see it change for the better.

Now if any of you can't make it to a High School nearby or got this too late to meet up - stop right now and on bended knee pray. Prayer is a powerful tool, and guys, GOD LISTENS.

Now for those of you who weren't at youth group on Sunday - NEW LIFE CHURCH is holding a special "See you after the pole" service at 7 pm. Thousands of teens will show up there to pray a second time for the country - but this time with a church full of teens going through the same thing you are.

Guys, God cares- and He loves hearing from us teens. So go- and PRAY. Live out loud for Christ and Christ alone. May God Bless America. May God Bless the World.

“Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you
great and mighty things, which you do not know.”
--Jeremiah 33:3 (NKJV)

The only way out of bad situations is going headlong into them, but to get into them, you usually have to go through the ventilation.
